A rainbow over the sea, beach, pebble ridge and Northam Burrows
Most of the above can be seen within easy walking distance of Westward Ho! Our Blue Flag sandy beach is thoroughly washed twice daily by the incoming tide. The Atlantic is kept in its place by the two mile long pebble ridge, behind which are the salt marshes of Northam Burrows Country Park, part of the UK's only UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Sheep and horses still graze freely there, as they have done for centuries.
North Devon
North Devon is blessed with some of the most beautiful and spectacular coast and countryside in England.
It has everything, dramatic towering cliffs, soft rolling hills, miles of sandy beaches, moorland, wetlands and Lundy Island which is surrounded by Britain's only Statutory Marine Reserve.
